High-Performance Speed - Sports Cars Rock

My favorite subject is cars. I like the color of cars. I like high-speed cars. I like exotic cars. Seriously, I like cars. Did I mention that I’m really a big fan of cars?

What I like most about automobiles is the color, the speed, and style of the unit.

Ferrari F50, one of my favorite spirited automobiles can reach speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. At this speed, the driver must have extreme control and functional concentration, because his reactions must be faster than intrusive actions, or he’s a dead man. The Mclaren F1 offers excellent performance, attaining speeds of up to 230 miles per hour.

Ford GT, or Concept, is only about four feet tall. When you drive this high-performance unit, your butt is literally dragging on the pavement. It can reach up to 260 miles per hour. That’s fast!

Other classic automobiles with incredible performance levels include: Dodge Charger, Chevrolet Corvette, and the Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500. The Dodge Charger can reach speeds of up to 150 miles per hour. The Chevrolet Corvette achieves speeds of 175 miles per hour. The Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500 is the slowest vehicle in this range having a top speed of only 133 miles per hour.

Seriously, speed isn’t everything. You probably don’t need a high speed vehicle to get you to work every day, and the speed won’t be what impresses your girlfriend on a Friday night. However, for us guys who just want to know we’ve got the fastest car on the highway, although we would NEVER use it, speed is important.

Sean Verhoeff is currently upgrading a 1985 Ford Ranger for better performance and style. If you’d like to know more about how to maintain your vehicle for better performance, improved gas mileage, and (greater speed - just don’t tell anyone I clued you) go visit one of my favorite websites at http://highperformancemaintenance.com and get on my FREE Mailing List for Auto Maintenance Tips. You’ll also get a FREE link to my speed trap and driving, auto maintenance blog.

John McCain for PRESIDENT - Your ONLY Choice!

HOW HAS Obama GOTTEN THIS FAR?    ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES BRAIN DEAD!!!!!!

 Obama Explains National Anthem

If this isn’t disgusting, then I don’t know what is !!!!! To give this kind of an explanation tells me he thinks most Americans can’t read, see, or comprehend what this man is about.

The comment really nails it!

‘LTG (Lt. General) Bill Ginn’ USAF, retired, forwarded: Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin,  presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171,’During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all  present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.’

‘As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides,’ Obama said. ‘There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.  And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose.  I like the song ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.’ If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.

I don’t think my church is actually particularly controversial.’ - Barack Obama.

Comment:

If someone had told me 64 years ago, as I was roaring down the runway in the most beautiful airplane in the world, that I would see our country subjected to one of the most disgusting Presidential elections imaginable, I would have told them they were crazy …. What in the world have we come to?  And, Obama wants to be the leader of the American Military??!!  Commander in Chief???

HOW DID HE GET THIS FAR ???????????
A note for Mr. Obama..  I realize it is probably not taught at Harvard or any other school that you attended.  During the War of 1812,  the British burned the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C., and in September of 1814, the British  bombarded Fort McHenry in the Port of Baltimore with sixteen war ships for two nights.  On  the third morning, our Flag was still flying and Francis Scott Key was moved to write the words that became our National Anthem: ‘O, say can you see……… ‘  So Mr. Obama the National Anthem was inspired after America had resisted an attack by a foreign power on U.S. soil.

The Line in the Sand - FREEDOM

Do you remember when Reagan took office in 1982? Our Embassy had been taken hostage during the the Carter Administration and Reagan had stated his first act in office would be to bring them home. Jimmy Carter, bless his big ole heart, had allowed them to sit in squander while he held up the peace signs, but the moment Reagan was about to take charge the IRANIAN terrorist sent the Hostages Home. They didn’t send them home because of the peace talks. They’d seen Reagan in ACTION. He was a man of his word, willing and able to take a firm hand against tyrany. He drew his line in the sand and with the full knowledge and backing of the American Public took office to proclaim once again that THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY, and the GREATEST COUNTRY on the PLANET. He knew that FIRM ACTION was the only method with which to deal Terrorrists out of the game.

Have we forgotten?

Our President stands on Conservative Truths that we shall live FREE. Where do we stand?

Have we forgotten? The question bears answering. But when was the last time you heard anyone say they supported AMERICAN FREEDOM?

When was the last time you stood beside your neighbor in a moment of silence and wept for AMERICANS killed on foreign soil? What about on our soil?

It’s happening every day and we’ve allowed the killers free access to our country.

Have we forgotten?

Political Opinion - Right to Action

Somewhere along the way, this site became a Political Opinion site v Auto Performance Site. At some point I may get back to voicing my expertise on Auto Performance, but at the moment I believe the Political Opinion has greater outreach and value.

The price of gas is darn near irrelevant in comparison to the rest of the garbage going on in our nation. Redundancies of power and radical enslavery is just a beginning of what we’ll soon be experiencing if WE THE PEOPLE do not make some serious changes soon. It’s important that we take back our nation, fight for our freedom, and regain our rights before they’re all gone.

How can we save other people’s freedom, if we’re not even free ourselves.

It’s a police state and we haven’t opened our eyes to acknowledge that yet. The devil is coming fast. What are we going to do about it?

Are you willing to sit back and watch our freedom disappear into nothingness, while we waste away in the center of our pleasant little world with the rest of humanity walking all over us?

It’s time to rise up and be counted. Be FREE.

Surge in Police Action Against Law Abiding Citizens

Recently, during a discussion with a local group of citizens (just the average, run of the mill, law abiding citizens) I learned that many of them believe our Police Departments, Sheriff Departments and Highway Patrol throughout the country are taking greater action against generally law abiding citizens. Is it true?

The definition of law abiding would be “citizens who believe in upholding the law, regardless of personal desires, because it’s the right thing to do”.

Given that description, I understand the issue of occasional lapse in judgment and getting a speeding or traffic violation, but seriously, there are greater issues here.

One young man was locked out of his apartment for about an hour with his child in plain view (everything okay, just locked out) and was arrested for child endangerment, because he was locked out? HUH?

Citizens are being harrassed on a daily basis because their properties don’t look like the mayor, the city inspector, or a police officer believe they should look. Is there a focus here?

Whatever happened to the right to property ownership and doing what you want on your own property?

All while illegal aliens (those saints of the sand from Mexico and the Middle East) take up residence and terrorize our nation? What’s with that?

This land is your land, this land is their land, This land is free from sea to sea… What ever happened to MY LAND?

SWAT Raid in Lamar, Colorado

SWAT Raid in Lamar?

I hesitate to ask this question, but it’s a question that must be asked. If this minor issue required SWAT to come in and take over, who will they call in if we have a major big event happen? Over the past several months, the City Police Department has expanded to include a new Police Chief and many new officers. The drug busts have increased, traffic violations are no longer an issue, they’re a standard. The police department no longer actually fills out any vandolism reports unless they can find the criminal (is this to increase their standing on crime to solution based data?), and there are issues outstanding that are ignored. But…

It’s all good! We have SWAT to the RESCUE!

However, as a lifetime resident of this fair community, I hazzard to guess what the response will be if a major event takes place.

SWAT wasn’t handled in any way effectively in this raid. Can you imagine pulling up to a crime scene, guns blazing in a terrorist event. Where oh where is Bruce Willis? We may need his “kill ‘em all and blow the building to hadies” Die Hard tactics before this is all over.

Will there be any real residents left? That is the question.

I wonder if this will go down in History alongside the Fleagle Gang at the Big Timbers Museum?

Colorado Speed Traps Worst In Nation

According to the Rocky Mountain News (a Colorado Newspaper) on May 24th of 2007, Colorado offered the worst speed traps in the Nation.  Colorado Springs ranked 2 and Denver ranked 9th, both listed in the top ten speed trap cities in America with the heavily patrolled I-70 Corridor.

Has anything changed or did Pueblo just jump on board with a Speed Trap of their own?

Is this the new meaning of tourist traps? Give a little, get a lot - showdown with the flashing lights? Are we so desperate for money that we’ll resort to illegal means of obtaining funding for the State of Colorado. Our ZERO budget package just took on new meaning.

Are all Colorado Court rooms so typically jaded in favor of hispanic/illegal alien drivers as the one in Pueblo City Court? I’m still looking for the statistical balance and ranges. I’m sure they’re out there!

Meanwhile, change those air filters, air up those tires and get the best gas mileage you can get. You’ll need it if you get captured in a speed trap of Colorado Design!

Speed Trap USA - Colorado

Occasionally, you’re gonna get a ticket, but when getting a ticket for speeding means you have no choice but to pay the ticket and allow the “powers that be” control of your life for six months, while you wait out a deferment, there’s something wrong. I vaguely remember that in the USA we are innocent until proven guilty. Not so in Pueblo, Colorado where the kangaroo monkey court system relegates traffic violatons to court clerks with little more than a paralegal certificate to determine your ‘guilty’ or ‘no-contest’ plea and leave you sucking up to the local police department for the next six months.

Ummm, what ever happened to NOT GUILTY?

I don’t often spring a leak over a ticket, but on the night I received my traffic violation certificate, there were red and blue lights flashing until you couldn’t see the road construction cones. Ahem, those orange Witch Hats require vision to avoid them and the pedestrians who bark up their trail. Let’s just blind the drivers until they can’t see and arrest them for speeding - they’ll never know, they couldn’t see their speed-o-meters for all the flashing lights!

Meanwhile Pueblo, Colorado boasts the highest revenues in the State of Colorado, while bragging about the highest non-law-abiding ratios of illegal aliens in the USA. Do those ‘victims of our neighbor, Mexico’ have driver licenses?

Trust me, there weren’t any Mexican Nationals (or to be politically correct: Illegal Aliens) in the court room. I do recognize them when I see them. The nasty little dark-skinned drug-infested gang-bangers are easily recognizable; they don’t speak English.

On top of the fact that anyone with “not Pueblo, Colorado” license plates was being pulled over that night, the court date, conveniently set for three weeks later is in the early part of the day, in the middle of the biggest tourist trap in the state. Welcome to the Pueblo River Walk on the Historic Arkansas River! Across from Union Station where State Wide Artisans Display their work to bring in even more tourists. On one particular street corner a sidewalk cafe offers specialty teas and breakfast accompaniments for those passersby who need sustenance before greeting the hangmans’ noose at the Pueblo County Courts.

Regardless of the fact that the Court Clerks will strip you dry of every drop of cash in your bank account, the shops and stores along B-Street await your eager return with promise of refreshment from the scorching Revenue Seeking Tyrants.

This is the first of many alerts to Speed Traps and REVENUE Generators across the nation. I encourage you to share your stories of speed traps, hot-to-ticket revenue building traffic cops, and other speed-demon nuggets right here in the Comments Section.
