Surge in Police Action Against Law Abiding Citizens

posted in Police, Political Opinion |

Recently, during a discussion with a local group of citizens (just the average, run of the mill, law abiding citizens) I learned that many of them believe our Police Departments, Sheriff Departments and Highway Patrol throughout the country are taking greater action against generally law abiding citizens. Is it true?

The definition of law abiding would be “citizens who believe in upholding the law, regardless of personal desires, because it’s the right thing to do”.

Given that description, I understand the issue of occasional lapse in judgment and getting a speeding or traffic violation, but seriously, there are greater issues here.

One young man was locked out of his apartment for about an hour with his child in plain view (everything okay, just locked out) and was arrested for child endangerment, because he was locked out? HUH?

Citizens are being harrassed on a daily basis because their properties don’t look like the mayor, the city inspector, or a police officer believe they should look. Is there a focus here?

Whatever happened to the right to property ownership and doing what you want on your own property?

All while illegal aliens (those saints of the sand from Mexico and the Middle East) take up residence and terrorize our nation? What’s with that?

This land is your land, this land is their land, This land is free from sea to sea… What ever happened to MY LAND?
